Truman’s Wins Creativity International Design Award

Nov. 6, 2019 — Louisville, Ky. — Truman’s gleefully announced today its fourth sustainable packaging design award in just seven months, setting what we can only assume is some kind of world record. If world domination could be boxed up, we’d be sealing it with tape right now.

The 49th Creativity International Design Awards honored Truman’s with a platinum award, its highest achievement. Entries were received from 29 countries and judged on excellence in presentation, production, color, copywriting, typography, photography, layout and message.

“Everybody’s talking about us. Well, not everybody. But we’re definitely getting positive accolades for our packaging innovations,” said Truman’s Co-Founder Alex Reed.

Because Truman’s ships directly to customers, all packaging is designed exclusively for minimalist function rather than to stand out on crowded retail shelves. The cardboard packaging for all Truman’s Starter Kits uses the cardboard itself as the cushioning to hold bottles and cartridges in place, so there are no extra materials such as packing peanuts or air bags. Printed instructions on the top flaps eliminate the need for separate manuals. At its core, the packaging demonstrates that the company’s commitment to green cleaning goes far beyond cleaning itself to all elements of the customer experience.

Truman’s latest award follows two honors in the Dow Packaging Innovation Awards, as well as an American Package Design Award.
