The 4th Annual TEC Karaoke Challenge: A Quest For The Best. We will be having 5 Preliminary Competitions at Little T's Sportsbar throughout the Summer. Our Karaoke Contest is like no other with over $2500 in Cash & Prizes. Winners to be chosen at each Preliminary Contest to move on to the Finals. Doors Open at 8PM at Little T's, Karaoke starts at 9PM, Registration Must Be Completed and Entry Fee Paid By 9:30PM, Contest at 10PM. The Final Competition will be held on Sunday August 31st 2008 in The Truman's Nightclub, along with a Hog Roast on The Patio. The Truman's Entertainment Complex is located in the 100 Center Complex, near Downtown Mishawaka. Only 5 Miles from the Notre Dame and Saint Mary's Campuses; 2 Miles form IUSB. The Truman's Entertainment Complex is THE HOTTEST Place To Party in Michiana; where there really is something for everyone.

CONTEST RULES

 1. You must be 21 years of age to enter.

 2. There is a $10.00 entry fee.

 3. No original songs. Please make your song choice from our selection or bring your own disc.

 4. If using your own disc, song choices must be in standard Karaoke CD+G format; and in good, clean operating condition.
     Any disc in poor condition will be rejected.

 5. Each of the 7 preliminaries will begin at 10 pm on Sunday nights. Contestants need to Sign Up (Complete entry form, pay fee,
     and register your song choices) NO LATER than 9:30PM on those nights. Earlier is Requested. Final Night Competition will
     be Sunday August 31st 2008. Check In time is 6PM, and the Final Night Competition starts at 7PM.

 6. Each contestant is to perform 1 song in the preliminary competition. If chosen as a finalist, you may be required to sing 2
     songs on the final night of competition, so be prepared to do so. It is required you pick two very different songs to show
     your singing range.

 7. Scoring, on Final Night is cumulative (i.e. 1st & 2nd round scores will be added together to determine winner.) After 1st round
     scores are tallied, the top half of the finalist group will go on to the Final Round.

 8. All contestants are encouraged to use imagination and originality in your performance. Be sure to give thought to your song
     choices and what you wear. The judges will be watching, so give it your best.

 9. Contestants will be judged on the following 3 areas of their performance on the Final Night of competition. 

          Presentation - (possible 10 pts.) Your general appearance and song choice

          Execution - ( possible 20 pts.) Vocal Performance, Motions, & Gestures

          Star Power - (possible 10pts.) Overall Performance, Stage Presence, and General Appeal

10. The contestants will compete in a numbered order to be decided by John Shockey.

11. All Final Decisions regarding any aspect of The TEC Karaoke Challenge will be made by Mr. J. W. Shockey, Proprietor of
      The Trumans Entertainment Complex.
